MOVED! The NewNEW Eastern Bikes warehouse.

For those of you who are considered outside of "the know" its probably because youre a jerk. If you do qualify to partake in this elite group, you already would be well aware that our pride and joy, your favorite bmx companys favorite bmx company, Eastern Bikes has relocated its warehouse space. Some notable facts about the new warehouse include:
A horror film was shot here
It is haunted
A man grows organic mushrooms in the basement
It is a lot sweeter than the old building
There is a softball field connected to the other end of our parking lot. UH OH

Mister Sister

Ohio has been pretty fun recently. I got to check out Brian Rybecks shop "Spin Cycle"in Lakewood, Ohio. Really cool high end road bike shop. Of course, they have a small amount of high end BMX stuff there as well. And you better believe they have Eastern completes in there son! A band played at Chenga 57 while it was an open session, so we are riding the park and before one of there songs the singer screams "Who likes sandwiches?" and then threw out a bunch of individually wrapped peanut butter and jelly sandwiches! I thought that was pretty rad. I was hungry too. So it worked out well. Dew Tour was in town that was fun. I got to see Kelly Bolton try peg manuals in his and Craig Mast's hotel room hallway.I got an ironic photo. Morgan Wade wearing a shirt that read "Please stop the tailwhips" with legend Joe Johnson, Joe invented the tailwhip and double-whip air and also was the first to try a triple whip, pretty funny photo. Also got to hang out with flatland legend Chase Guin, he's legal and back in the country. Don't sleep on Chase, thats all you need to know for now.

Explosions in the Sky

So The title for my blog is what band I'm listening to right now which reminds me to say Happy 4th of July minus 7 days. Nothing fantastic  I have been in Ohio for a little longer than I may have ever wanted to be. At one point I really  wanted to move back here. Not any more. Still an awesome place for BMX, with out a doubt. I have being riding chenga alot. Clubbing with a bazillion honeys, and maybe even doing some shows. Maybe.
I went to VA. to see family and ran into 2 old girl freinds. I liked them so much I brought them back with me, oh wait not G.F'S, guitars, but they are just as sexy. Anyway they have 6 strings and pur like a little kitten when you wail on them.

I'm hip again!

It's been two weeks since my surgery. I have two screws in my hip and am healing fine. I just can't wait to get back on my bike. It's a cool feeling knowing that I am 38 (holy crap that's old...nah!) and still get that little warm, fuzzy feeling inside to ride my bike. Five more weeks and counting. More from the Eastern trip

The trips is going great despite the heat. We've been riding mostly in the afternoon and night to try and stay cool. Kelly Bolton and Craig Mast left the trip yesterday to get some rest before the Dew Tour. Seamus McKeon came in for the remainder. We have a few more days left. The start of the Eastern Video

That's right, Eastern Bikes has started working on a team video. We are currently on a trip filming in 95 degree weather. The crew consists of Kelly Bolton, Darren Boulden, Eric Holley, Craig Mast and Zach Rogers riding. Stew Johnson is filming, Tyler Northrup is shooting the photos and I'm coordinating the whole thang. Despite the heat, the first few days have been awesome in Atlanta. A lot of riding has been done and many bizarre things have happened. I took the photos on this page of Kelly doing the rail, Eric and the blurry feeble and of Craig playing the guitar from the streets. Tyler took the real photos that are in the album. So I have been riding at Chenga 2 and Chenga 57 the last two weeks . Despite the crappy light in there I did manage to snap a photo of Hollywood busting some super mans. It was also a rare night, in the fact that I saw another Grim Reaper with frontys on, that is front brakes. So I rounded up all the Grims and we got nerdy and I took a photo. Scott Powell(owner of Chenga) had a birthday party and things got messy with a shaving gel fight. I'm just lucky I got my new Wiz tuxedo shirt to wear in time. It was a hit.

Youtah

I ts been awesome everyday here in Utah, I'm starting to think when isn't it?. Even the days when we get spring snow showers. I love it all. I got to see Eddie and Skier jay come up on iPhones, yes, I was very jealous. Stew Johnson has been in town for he last week or so and filmed a "Day in the Life" with Beringer. It should be funny. Stew filmed myself a bit for a Vital bike check next month. So keep in eye out for that. Talked about my first Grim Reaper and riding it too, duh. Which by the way, after getting used to it, I can say I am a big fan.  I got a kid to lick a ledge for a back flip.The best part of the week was, well, everyday, hanging out with Stew, Matt and Mike. Which is amazing to watch ride his local cement parks. He got filmed for Stew's new video, New Anthem? We had a bunch of good Leigh Ramsdell stories and had a good laugh about our fav lil buddy.  Eddie and Fuzz from 5050 BMX were going up to Park city to chcek out Skull Candy headphones, I got to ride the baby mini in there offices. Pretty fun set up for inside an office.  That remindes me, I wanna do a shirt that says "Utaaaaahhhhhhhhhh" with a person sipping a cup of coffee with mountains in the background. Inside/Out Charlotte
