Day of Birth, ramps, and more maybe

    My birthday was this passed wednesday and Guettler let me have some people over at his house for pizza and an afternoon session on the ramps.Quite a few guys showed up to hang out and have a good time and i was stoked. For my birthday my girlfriend got me a point and shoot digital camera so i have no excuse not to post awesome pictures weekly now.

Lately I have been making the trek back home to pittsboro almost every weekend from my apartment in greenville to work on my ramps. I just recently got them finished and painted and I am very excited. I also just got a new bike together which I am happy about as well. Keep a look out for a bike check soon.

I got drunk and I ate chicken.

Listen, im not a music fanatic or anything but i like the stuff. it's not often i hear a new artist or group i actually am interested in or even remotely consider purchasing, but Nashville's own Those Darlins is an exception. i dont know what it is, be it the twangy western nashville influence or my soft spot for all-girl groups, but i would highly recommend checking them out. i can't really find anywhere to get their music for free, but i have been looping the four songs on their myspace over and over, and you should do the same. come get wiiiiiild with me.

I GOT MY FILL (E).

So this was kinda an old team mate reunion for Wiz and I this last Inside/Out trip last week in Philly.  We both rode for Schwinn back in the day.  It was good to hang with him and ride his local spots. The (purple) rain tried its best to shout down everything. Wiz and the rest of us didn't let it stop us from riding and have a blast on this trip. One night we were eating at Wiz's  pizza shop for dinner, but not Kelly. He had a pony keg the night. Wow. Seamus and I met for the first time, I think we hit it off well and I enjoyed watching a young shredder who truly does his own style. It used to be called "Freestyle". Sheamus remembers.  The TL-88 is the car of everyones choice on this trip. Man, the thing is fast AND spacious. Thanks Mangler.  The video should be funny to watch. I have a feeling Kelly and Sheamus were talking smack about me in the interviews. Punks.  

Music trip.

So I flew to San Diego for my first meeting a N.A.M.M. They are basically the Inter-bike for the music industry. Pretty huge deal. Turns out they are hiring Ray Barbee and myself to promote "making and playing music" at all of the DEW Tour stops next year and X-games. It's still a bit unclear as to what we will be doing, but I know it'll be fun no matter what. I'm pretty blown away by the entire thing, honestly. It's not a bad thing to start filling in my calender for 09" already. Here are some pictures of some of the things I did while playing guitar, trveling, and killing 3 hours at L.A.X. Oh and while I was down there my bursits sack on my elbow decided to get a decent infection from falling in the mud at Beringers a week ago. Stange. So I'm on two antibiotics, and may be getting the fluid drained after the Philly Inside out Trip.

Late summer, early fall.

Real quick to fill you in on whats been going down in Utah as of late. The Aitken Tanner jam went off, everybody had awesome costumes and we raised 6K for Mike! The Forte brothers were in the states and got to ride Matts house with them.  I've been spending almost to much time working on my jacuzzi on the nice days, trying to get it going before winter is here for good. Pretty much just riding a bunch and living, feel me? I fly to San Diego tomorrow then leave the next day. I'm getting hired along with skate legend, Fender Athlete Ray Barbee to do some music stuff at all the Dew Tours next year and Summer X-Games. Im stoked and excited to see what its all about. It cant be bad if Ray is doing it. I basically said yes over the phone based on that its good enough for Ray, its good enough for me. I'm home for one day after S.D. then off to Philly for the last Inside Out trip. Cant wait for that one. Later.
